Mike Liddle (Managing Partner) was the Past President of the Facility Management Consultants Council globally for the International Facility Management Association (IFMA 28,000 members in most countries in the world) and has held the role of President of European IFMA for over 2 years and was a founding board member of the International Special Interest group of the BIFM.
He is a highly experienced consultant and engineer who have successfully run a number of businesses, both private and public. His experience includes the control and co-ordination of multi-million pound projects involving design, construction and commissioning of production, research, hospital, retail and office facilities in the UK and on the European mainland.
he Flaghouse Building Developer on the Abuja Technology Village has appointed him among others to act as "Client Representative" and to advise on long term Facility Management and Life Cycle costing to ensure that the building conforms to the US LEED Gold standard to ensure that the building has a 100-year life. This is a unique project for Nigeria.
He leads the team working on a Residential and Hotel implant inside the "Free Zone" in the Abuja Technology Village in Nigeria. This is a ground-breaking development and is unique in Africa as the buildings will conform to the US LEED Gold standard to ensure that the buildings have a 100-year life similar to the UK style PFI projects.
The team has run a re-tender of the Cleaning and Associated Services for Kings College London for its extensive portfolio of teaching spaces, offices laboratories and public space. This is a multi-million Pound contract and is output driven and takes into account the "London living wage", fixed to the existing budget and a move to full time working. A very challenging and ground-breaking endeavour which has resulted in multiple improvements for Students, Staff and building users.
He Managed the integration of Merck Sharpe & Dohme and Schering-Plough throughout EMEA. The new "MSD" is now the second largest Pharmaceutical Company globally. We had the responsibility working with our CREA partners to assist the external Real Estate advisors and implement the integration. We had to plan with the local businesses, implement corporate standards, Fitout and relocate the staff. Thereafter we worked with one of two global FM providers to implement outsourced Facility Management. This project covered 17 different Countries and was Project managed personally by Mike Liddle.
