He is the Head of Technical Services for Guildford Services Ltd, he is also a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria; a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers; a Certified Member of the British Institute of Facilities Management; a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administrators; and a Fellow of the Project Managers Institute.
He attended several Continual Professional Development Training Courses; namely, Acceptable Work Ethics and Improved Human Relations; Sustainable Infrastructure Management in public & private sectors; Total Quality Management; effective administrative skills and management; COREN courses; the professional facilities manager's course; UK annual Facilities Shows in the United Kingdom; a course on the bomb identification, detection & appropriate response; and, most recently a management course titled 'Moving from manager to leader' in the United Kingdom.
Engr. Mohammed Abbas Yakubu obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Bayero University, Kano in 1989. As the best-graduating student in the Civil Engineering Department, he was awarded the Fellowship Scholarship by Bayero University, Kano to study for a Master' degree in Structural Engineering at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Based on the exigencies of his work, he went further to obtain a Masters' in Science Degree in Facilities Management from the University of Greenwich in 2009.
